A 51-year-old woman in London, England live in a homemade Faraday cage because she can’t stand the symptoms of living around modern day technology. The electromagnetic waves cause her serious health problems so she spends up to 18 hours a day in the protective barrier cage to get away from them.
Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity Syndrome is it real
She is allergic to electromagnetic fields. Velma remembers her days as a teen when she used to work as a secretary and used a computer all day long. “At first the symptoms were barely noticeable, a huge agitation when using the computer. I thought it was because I didn’t have the technological skills.”
The shock makes you more susceptible. She got shocked touching a bathroom light switch which ignited a fire and now she suffers from tinnusitis, head and nerve pain, memory loss, heart palpitations, vertigo and aching joints whenever she’s near electrical devices. By eliminating the sources for interference the allergic symptoms and neurological problems calm down.
There are a growing number of people with this same problem and is a real issue. People with this syndrome suffer from the same conditions and symptoms. Many patients are told that it’s all in their minds in other words that there is nothing wrong with them. But the condition persists in getting worse and a skin rash can also appear. Regular vacations to a rural area were once prescribed but the Faraday Cage offers relief for those who can’t afford the luxury of traveling out of town on the weekends.
A Faraday Shield is a barrier made of a material that blocks static and non-static. The cage’s material dissipates the electronic fields to cancel their effects inside the cage, much like a lightning rod is used to break up the lightening, to protect from electrostatic discharges. The metal layers that make up the room are then grounded to break up the electric charged impulses and they block a large portion of the electronic waves.
EMF fields cause childhood cancers, depletes Melatonin and could be the cause of your headaches
Electronic security systems, TV’s, computers, stereos, fluorescent lighting, telephones, electric heaters, and high-voltage powerlines are known to cause electromagnetic hypersensitivity syndrome. EMF meters and radiation meters can be used to measure the electronic waves. Some people use bed canopy’s over their children’s beds or their own bed to provide relief at night while they sleep. Pads to sleep on or place under your bed can also be purchased to “earth” or ground your body while sleeping. There are protective phone shield covers you can purchase for protection from your cellphone. Insomnia and Alzheimer’s Disease has been linked to EMF fields.
