St. Charles and neighboring St. Louis County will have many events at which you can visit with Santa this holiday season. If your kids can’t wait to get their picture taken with Santa and tell the jolly ol’ guy what they’re dreaming of for Christmas, head out to any of the following places around town:
Historic Log Cabin in Old Town St. Peters – On December 1, 2012, Santa will chat with kids from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Historic Log Cabin located at 141 Gatty Drive. While there, take a horse-drawn carriage ride through Old Town St. Peters and then enjoy hot chocolate and cookies to warm you up. Parents should bring their own cameras for photo opportunities with Santa.
Intersection of Pearce Blvd and Luetkenhaus Blvd in Wentzville – On December 2, 2012, ring in the holidays with a Christmas parade through Wentzville beginning at 5:30 p.m. After a holiday concert, the mayor will light the Christmas tree and then kick off the parade. The parade will begin at Budget Towing and end at the fire department where children can visit with Santa and enjoy hot chocolate and cookies. For more information, call 636-332-8801.
O’Fallon Municipal Centre – City Hall – On December 8, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m., kids can enjoy breakfast with Santa as well as crafts and games. Parents should bring their own cameras to capture photos with Santa. The cost of this event is $10 for residents, $12 for non-residents. Advanced registration is required. If breakfast isn’t your thing, you could sign up for Pizza With Santa instead. That event runs from 11:00 a.m. through 12:30 p.m. at O’Fallon City Hall. Once again, parents are responsible for taking photos of kids with Santa. The prices are the same as Breakfast with Santa and you must register in advance.
St. Peters Rec-Plex South – On December 10, 2012 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., Santa will join kids for a continental breakfast, crafts and Christmas music. The event is reserved for children ages 2 through 8 and parents are welcome to bring a camera for photos. The cost is $11 per child and $5.50 per adult in attendance. You must register by December 3rd. Call 636.939.2386 extension 1400.
Von Maur Department Store at the Meadows at Lake Saint Louis – On Saturdays and Sundays throughout December, Santa will be available for photos from noon until 5:00 p.m.. Santa will make a final appearance on Christmas Eve from noon until 3:00 p.m. Families can receive one professional 4×6 photo for free or bring their own cameras for additional photos.
The Mother-in-Law House in Historic St. Charles – With an advance reservation, kids can enjoy breakfast with Santa on December 8th and 22nd. The meal begins at 9:00 a.m. and the cost is $18 for adults, $15 for kids under 12. Call 636-255-6155 for more information.
Tony’s on Main Street in Historic St. Charles – Enjoy lunch and a visit with Santa at Tony’s on Main December 15th and 16th and again on December 22nd and 23rd. Santa will be there from noon until 3:00 p.m. each day, so parents can bring their cameras for great photo opportunities this Christmas season.
Bass Pro Shop – Through Christmas Eve, Santa will be on hand at Bass Pro Shop to hear little one’s Christmas wishes and take pictures. Families can receive a free 4×6 photo or purchase additional photo packages. In addition, kids will enjoy games and crafts. Fort Zumwalt Park in O’Fallon – On December 11, 2012, Santa will visit with kids during the Walk-Through Night of Celebration of Lights in Fort Zumwalt Park. Families can walk through the dazzling display of Christmas lights, listen to holiday music, enjoy fireworks and take pictures with Santa.
222 North Main Street – Santa will be available to visit with children on Saturdays and Sundays during the Christmas Traditions Festival going on through Christmas Eve. This Victorian Santa will give your holiday photos a touch of elegance! Santa will be available from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays and from noon until 5:00 p.m. on Sundays.
Mid Rivers Mall – Through Christmas Eve, children may visit with Santa and get optional, professional picture packages. Santa is available Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., Sundays from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. and on Christmas Eve from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Santa takes breaks to feed his reindeer from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Sundays.
