Dog lovers everywhere rely on a barrage of individuals and companies that help their cherished canine to be happy, healthy and secure – not just at Christmas but throughout the entire year. We do not always look at the people involved in our dog’s lives as gifts or treasures, but without them, a dog lover’s job would be that much more difficult indeed.
In Wheaton, Quantum Leap, our seven-and-a-half year old Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier is grateful for the great service and care that he has been given from the following people in the following organizations:
· Mike and Cris Zloza, owners and operators of the Spotted Paw Shop. This great organization opened just over one year ago and currently is located at 74 Danada Square West; next door to TJ Maxx. Not only does Cris do an excellent job of grooming for Q, but Michael has improved Q’s health and teeth by recommending Natural Balance dog food and bone treats. The food has diminished Q’s allergies and ear infections and the marrow bones have helped remove much of the tartar build-up from Q’s teeth. Without these great young entrepreneurs and their knowledge of all things dog, Q would not look as good, feel as good or be as happy and healthy as he is right now!
· Dr. Helen Dane and staff at Danada Veterinary Hospital. This great set of vets and staff are just north of Q’s groomers; located at 10 West Loop Road – behind the McDonald’s on Naperville Road. This progressive organization is so loving and caring that they will work with you no matter your financial situation. They are just so happy that you are a responsible pet owner, that they will even set up payment plans to make certain that your pet gets its annual checkup, vaccinations, etc. Then they get personal with your pet; getting right down to their level talking and calming the fear that your pet may feel when they visit the doctor.
· Wheaton Park District provides a public area for your pet to romp and play. To make certain that you can clean up after your pet, they provide dog owners with baggies posted at various locations that you are able to help yourself to and utilize when necessary. They also provide water spickets so that you are able to provide much needed water for your thirsty pets.
These are local organizations and the individuals that work with Q. There are many other dog organizations out there that other pet owners cherish. Thank you to these organizations and individuals for providing loving care to our dog. You are local treasures that everyone should know about! Merry Christmas!
