The Scottsdale Fairmont Princess is preparing to launch a revolutionary addition to the world of spa this January. “Well and Being” at the Willow Stream Spa Fairmont Scottsdale, introduces a comprehensive new spa wellness program, custom tailored to meet the unique needs of every guest.
Under the direction of world renowned integrative health expert Dr. Tieraona Low Dog MD, “Well and Being” will offer a wide range of spa and wellness treatments. Besides the standard spa menu of massage and facials, specialized services will include acupuncture, state of the art diagnostic testing, an on-site lab for speedy test results, yoga, nutrition and fitness classes. Guests can visit the spa for just one treatment or sign up for a comprehensive four day wellness program overseen by a team of integrative and complementary health practitioners.
One of the most exciting components of Well and Being is the home follow up program, based on information gathered at the initial spa visit. After filling out a comprehensive intake form on an iPad, spa guest will be offered the option of receiving a subscription to an interactive on-line magazine tailored to their particular wellness issues. This on-going, personalized education of guests is the first of its kind and it will be exciting to watch how the Well and Being program impacts guests wellness goals.
Dr. Low Dog says that Well and Being takes the approach that “all roads lead to you”, stressing that in order for a wellness program to be effective it needs to start with where the spa guest is in their individual wellness journey, rather than imposing an idealized vision of wellness on the guest. This personalized and holistic approach has the potential to turn the spa into a model of preventative healthcare, offering wellness solutions that are as enjoyable to experience as they are effective.
The Fairmont has invested over $2 million dollars in renovations to the spa, which has a stunning natural design inspired by nearby Havasupai Falls. Unique spa features at the Willow Stream Scottsdale include a three-story therapeutic waterfall, Sedona sandstone, river rock, fountains, streams, gardens and abundant natural light throughout the facility. Views of the McDowell Mountains can be seen from private spa cabanas.
Well and Being will kick-off opening festivities in January, so stay tuned for updates on this exciting new spa concept at the Fairmont Princess’ Willow Stream Spa website: http://www.fairmont.com/scottsdale/willow-stream/
