“The Walking Dead” will return to Channel 43 in Tempe in February, and now fans are being given the inside scoop on what is coming up next on the series. On Saturday, Dec. 29, Celebrity Dirty Laundry shared spoilers for the series. Slash Film and The Playlist also shared news about the series. Check out the photos for the next episode here. There are big changes coming to this series. AMC has renewed the zombie drama for a fourth season, but the series will continue on without current show runner Glen Mazzara. He has been released from the position. According to Slash Film, an issue having to do with money might be to blame for the departure of Mazzara.
Before season four, fans will have the second half of season three to see on AMC. Celebrity Dirty Laundry reported the following about what will happen during the second half of season three:
“Everyone better prepare for a war, because that’s probably what it’s going to be. Rick and his team have fought enough enemies in their time to know how to fight, and they definitely won’t go down quietly.”
Mazzara already has hinted at major deaths during this season, and CDL reported those deaths could include Rick Grimes before the season is complete. As for Mazzara’s exit, Kurt Sutter, the man behind “Sons of Anarchy” on FX spoke out about the man’s exit on the AMC series. He said the following, according to The Playlist:
“AMC is run by small-minded, bottom-line thinkers who have no appreciation or gratitude for the effort of its creative personnel. Time and time again we see events like what happened today with Glen Mazzara. They continue to disrespect writers, shit on their audiences and bury their network. Mazzara took the work-in-progress that was ‘Walking Dead’ and turned into a viable TV show with a future. Without him, that future is dim.”
This is the second change in show runner that the series has seen since it began. No word yet on who will come in to take over the series for its fourth season. Fans are buzzing about this series on social media. One fan said the following on Twitter recently:
