Fans of “The Walking Dead” are full of speculation as to what will happen on season 3, episode 9. Titled “The Suicide King,” viewers are sure to have some questions answered, while others will remain a mystery. On Dec. 29, a reader of Hypable wrote a response to an article that the website published, who feels that fans are being too hard on Andrea.
The reader, who did not reveal any spoilers, but simply offered their opinion on the character of Andrea, says that she is simply lost, just like Rick, only in a different way. She is ignoring her instincts and while she must know deep down that the Governor is bad news and is not the kind, noble savior the residents of Woodbury thinks he is, she simply will not… or cannot face the truth. She feels safe in Woodbury and has access to regular meals, a bed to sleep in and not having to be on guard every single moment.
However, with that being said and it being accurate, fans may be in for a surprise when season 3, episode 9 of “The Walking Dead” airs. AMC posted a sneak peek on their website, where viewers see Andrea shocked that one of the “terrorists” is her friend, Daryl. When she tries to explain to the Governor that he is her friend, he simply says that it is out of his hands. Andrea looks mortified and tries to lunge forward, but is held back by the Governor’s “army.”
He did not seem to feel any compassion, understanding or remorse for whatever it is he plans on doing to Daryl for invading his town and for Merle betraying him.
The Governor seems like a ruthless dictator who kept his zombie daughter as a caged pet and found peace gazing at floating zombie heads in a giant aquarium. He only felt something for Andrea when she was in the dark about his motivations and it seems that he just might try to get rid of her in “The Suicide King” or at the very least, make her fear him and may even keep her a prisoner.
However, the fact that Andrea can hold her own is something that the Governor may not know. She may realize that Woodbury is not the safe haven she thought it was. She may feel contempt at the Governor for holding Daryl in the zombie pit.
Andrea may attempt to rescue Daryl or perhaps create a diversion to give him a chance to escape. Fans of “The Walking Dead” may see Andrea finally see the truth and do the right thing in “The Suicide King.”
What do you think of Andrea’s character in the television series? Do you think she is better in the comic books? Do you think these opinions on what will happen in season 3, episode 9 are accurate?”
