Don’t forget that you can take your special dog this weekend and get their photo taken with the big man, Santa, himself. Santa will be present at the 75th Street location this Saturday, December 1st from 12:00 until 4:00 p.m.
This Santa event is quite famous. In fact, it is a good idea to get there early as possible because dogs come out of the woodwork to meet the man of the season. As with last year, Building a Global Community will be providing the photographer for this event besides helping Two Boston’s coordinate the day’s activities.
Two Boston’s conducts the event by utilizing tickets. The tickets bear a number and then groups of ticket numbers are called and those in the group will process inside the store location and wait in line to get their photo taken with their pooch and Santa Claus.
As long as you have a ticket, all ticketholders will be able to get the photo taken. No tickets will be overlooked!
It is truly a site to behold as dogs of all sizes, shapes, ages and varieties will be onsite with or without their winter best on. The best part is that dogs are unlike their human partners in that they do not expect anything and are happy with everything that is or is not received. They are simply caught up in the fun and festive moments of the event.
The best part is that the event is FREE but if you happen to get caught up in the moment, any donations that you want to make will go toward helping Building a Global Community to do what they do best, including:
· Developing Partnerships with High-Impact NGOs (Non-Governmental Organizations)
· Fundraising and increasing Awareness
· Invest Resources and Implement Projects
Building a Global Community started by two young women that were just 17 and 20 years old. For the past six years they have striven to build their goals and in the process have been able to sponsor 50 individuals on service trips to Africa where they do their part to create “change” by “building relationships” and attempt to dissolve poverty and disease and begin to understand the beauty and character fashioned from surviving the terrors of AIDS, apartheid, abandonment and death. On the home front, the growing organization build relationships like the one with Two Boston’s that allows them to help others while helping themselves and the African communities that they serve.
So don’t forget to mark your calendar right now to prepare yourself to come to the Two Boston’s event. This is a great time of year to help others and this event will give you the opportunity to do just that! Remember to bring your dog wearing a standard leash to keep them safe and sound during this busy day!
