A Tale As Old As Time
Grab the kids and head over to the Puppet Company, 7300 MacArthur Blvd., Glen Echo, MD, where you will see the classic Disney tale Beauty and the Beast like you’ve never seen it before. Watch half-size marionettes as they tell the tale of a beastly prince who learns how to live outside himself and falls in love with a merchant’s daughter. The show lasts 40 minutes and is perfect for children between the ages of 5 and 12. For children under the age of 4, the Puppet Company hosts Tiny Tots at 10, a kid-friendly show that’s shorter in length and features no loud noises and no dark rooms. Upcoming shows at the Puppet Company include the Nutcracker (11/23 – 12/30), Toyland (1/18/13 – 2/10/13) and Alice in Wonderland (2/14/2013 – 3/10/2013).
