“The X Factor” has wrapped its second season on Channel 10 in Tempe, but those involved with the series are still talking about it and making news. On Tuesday, Dec. 25, Christian Post and Gulf News both shared new comments made by L.A. Reid and Simon Cowell about the series. Check out the photos from behind the scenes of the finale here and here. If you missed any of the previously released photos or spoilers for this series, go here.
L.A. Reid is ready to leave “The X Factor” behind. He announced his departure before the end of the second season, and Simon Cowell will have to find a replacement for him. However, Cowell is not looking for his replacement yet, according to his statement to E! News. Reid does have a suggestion for his replacement though. He said the following, according to Christian Post:
“I think Rihanna should fill my spot, so that I have a reason to watch.”
Cowell hasn’t made it clear if any of the current panel will return next season. Demi Lovata already mentioned in interviews that she was uncertain about her own future on the reality series.
As for Emblem 3, they left the competition in fourth place this season, but that won’t stop them from getting a record deal. Cowell has already expressed in signing the group. He spoke more about Emblem 3 recently as well. He said the following, according to Gulf News:
“No one has tried to style them. No one has tried to influence them. If you want to go out and do what people like One Direction have done… you’ve gotta make a decision in your career: Do you want to be popular or do you want to play for your mates in the garage? Obviously, I want them to be a global success, and the whole point of putting them on the show is to get people to know them to understand them. I don’t think they’ve compromised themselves, and they’ve become incredibly popular.”
An official announcement of a record deal for either of Cowell’s groups in the competition has not yet been made. Cowell will take his time and weight his options about his groups and other matters in regard to the series in the weeks ahead.
Fans are buzzing about this series on social media. One fan said the following on Twitter recently:
I still cant believe that carly rose didnt win #thexfactor
“The X Factor” will return to Channel 10 in Tempe next fall with season three.
