The Robertson family has gained a massive fan base by being real, genuine, and unscripted. People all over the world, whether they are city bred or country fed are fascinated by the duck commander crew. It is clear that viewers want to laugh, and appreciate the good, clean fun that the Robertsons have. With the rise of popularity, the bearded men are even becoming the topics of random rumors as Hollywood’s A-listers do.
In an article Thursday, Dec. 20, The Shreveport Times addressed rumors that “Uncle Si” Robertson had been involved in terrible vehicle accident. However, upon talking to the other Robertson brother, Al who isn’t regularly a part of the A&E hit. The claim was completely false, as the beloved cast member was safe at home.
“He was supposed to be clinging to life after being airlifted from an accident,” Al Robertson told the Shreveport Times. “But the truth was he was safely snug in his bed,” continued brother Al.
Tuesday morning rumors reported that Michelle Obama was heading to the Duck Commander Warehouse. Willie and Jase laughed off the non-existent meeting.
Al returned to the family business this year after 24 years as a minister at White’s Ferry Road Church of Christ in West Monroe continued, “The first season we had a nice wave of interest, but this season has been a tsunami.”
Al may be appearing more in upcoming seasons, as he and his wife Lisa were previously too busy to make regular appearances due to their roles at White ferry church. Another Robertson would undoubtedly be another great addition to our TV screens.
Reportedly, the Duck Commander has had more than 80,000 orders since October for Duck Dynasty merchandise of all sorts. Not surprisingly, ‘Duck Dynasty’ fans want t-shirts, bobble heads, duck calls…..and yes, even Uncle Si tea glasses. The Robertsons are beyond busy and have had to expand their staff to keep up with the constant demands.
“We’ve gone from a little local company to a national phenomenon,” Al Robertson said.
Though the Robertsons have become a household name, the humble group has remained humble, and stayed true to who they are.
“That comes from our mom and dad,” Robertson said. “This is where we live. We’re still the same people,” continued Robertson.
With over 6.5 million viewers in the last episode of season 2, ‘Duck Dynasty’ became the most watched show of A&E history. Out with the old and in with the new is what the TV viewing charts are saying. America has spoken, and what they’re saying is that they can’t get enough of Duck Dynasty. The ratings are soaring for the duck men and the sky looks to be the limit.
