Many Connecticut residents, parents, students and school administrators are upset to say the least of a recent allegation reported by ABC News on Nov. 26. The report states that two teenagers in Connecticut attending Fumi High School in Enfield are accused of baking urine into cupcakes and handing them out to other classmates in the school that they didn’t like.
The cupcakes were distributed over the course of a few days. This is a very sick way of telling another they don’t care for them and don’t want to be friends. It was reported that hundreds of cupcakes were giving out to students in the school.
The allegations have been reported to the school as well as the authorities. If testing of the cupcakes is positive for urine the girls can be facing criminal charges. Currently the school isn’t taking a stand on the accusations until further proof is provided via court hearing. The girls are still attending classes in lieu of suspensions or expulsion.
Parents of students attending the school are quite upset with good reason. This act is a discussing display of hatred towards their peers. What could so many students have done to cause these two to take their revenge in such a horrible way?
Currently a few students ended up getting terribly sick without being hospitalized. It is possible that these cupcakes could have caused illnesses in the students.
Drinking urine actually doesn’t have any health benefits. Urine is made up of 95 percent water and 5 percent is actual toxic. That 5 percent is why are bodies rid itself of this fluid. Urine is filled with excess electrolytes, sodium and chloride. It also rids your body of excess potassium which carries toxins from the kidneys. It would take an excessive amount to cause serious problems such as dehydration and hear attacks.
Regardless, this is a hateful and disturbing act. This is not a cute little prank. This is serious and we’re sure that since these girls are still attending school they will be kept at a distance from other classmates.
Hopefully authorities will act on this quickly and resolve this issue. Was this just a rumor? Did a few students get sick just thinking the cupcakes were laced with urine? Is this true and will authorities and the school punish them to the extent of the law for this criminal act.
What is your reaction?
