Catholic nun accuses West of “turning a blind eye” and “supporting” Jihadists…
A 38-year-old Syrian Christian was kidnapped by Islamist rebels, beheaded, then his corpse was fed to dogs as reported Dec. 30, 2012 by The Daily Mail of London.
Speaking from a hidden sanctuary in Lebanon, Mother Agnes-Mariam de la Croix, the Mother Superior of the Melkite-Rite Catholic Monastery of St James the Mutilated in southern Syria, detailed the murder of fellow Christian Andrei Arbashe.
According to Mother Superior, Arbashe’s headless corpse was found on the side of a local road being consumed by dogs.
The 60-year-old Carmelite nun stated the murdered man was guilty only of having his brother openly criticize the rebels:
“His only crime was his brother criticized the rebels, accused them of acting like bandits, which is what they are.”
The slain man was recently married and he and his wife were expecting their first child.
Attila The Nun Opens Fire…
Mother Agnes-Miriam has noted that murder, kidnapping, rape and robbery have become commonplace occurrences under the rebel forces.
She also spoke bluntly in her criticism of Western powers who have not only thrown in with, but also have turned a blind eye to growing evidence of a ‘fifth column’ of fanatics within the rebel forces:
“The free and democratic world is supporting extremists.
They want to impose Sharia Law and create an Islamic state in Syria.”
The Daily Mail notes that one of the most effective fighting forces is the Jabat Al-Nusra (translation: Supporters of the Front for Victory of the People of Syria), which has an ideology similar to Al Qaeda.
Not quite done yet, Mother Agnes-Miriam was also quoted as stating:
“The uprising has been hijacked by Islamist mercenaries who are more interested in fighting a holy war than in changing the government.
It has turned into a sectarian conflict.
One in which Christians are paying a high price.”
Nary A Word In The Western Press…
As recently reported by rootshed.com, Saudi “Morality Police” arrested forty four people who were charged with “plotting to celebrate Christmas.”
Taking it a step further, it’s being reported that rebels wearing the black headbands of Al Qaeda had laid siege to the Monastery of St. James for a 48 hour period in an effort to keep Syrian Christians from gathering in the holy place to celebrate Christmas.
