It’s out and it’s official. The pregnancy test of Kate Middleton and William has come back positive. The two are spending time in the hospital to help with Kate’s extreme discomfort of morning sickness. She is having extra fluids pumped into her body to keep her hydrated. The severe case of morning sickness can sometimes be an indicator of twins.
Morning sickness this severe can be hard to deal with emotionally and can take some of the fun out of finding out you are pregnant. The royal family couldn’t be happier about the pregnancy. Well wishes are sent out to the happy couple and in honor of the joyful occasion, here are a list of the top comedy movies surrounding the topic of pregnancy and child rearing.
What to Expect When You’re Expecting
This 2012 funny film looks at pregnancy in the lives of five couples. The movie shows us that life will make plans for us. Cameron Diaz, Matthew Morrison and Todd Smith are at the top of the list of actors for this funny movie.
With a group like Adam Sandler, Salma Hayek, Kevin James, Chris Rock, Steve Buscemi and David Spade among the actors in a film, you couldn’t expect a low-grade film. This movie does not disappoint comedy fans. As a high school basketball coach dies, five teammates take off on a weekend retreat to reminisce about their high school days.
This 2007 release is a comedy about two people who have a one-night stand. About eight weeks later, she is pregnant. The story begins. Good comedy movie and great cast. Seth Rogen, Katherine Heigl and Paul Rudd star in this funny film.
Life as we Know It
Josh Duhamel and Katherine Heigl star in the 2010 film, Life as we Know it. The two become sole guardians of a child when their mutual best friends pass away in a car accident. To make the scenario even more fun, they can’t stand each other.
Friends with Kids
This 2011 release is an interesting aspect of the pregnancy idea; this couple decides to have a child together but keep their relationship platonic. The premise behind this idea is that children can wreak havoc on a romantic relationship, yet they both want children. Interesting concept.
While I am a huge fan of Robert Downey Jr., the review of this film goes beyond a fan take. This comedy movie is one of the funniest I have seen in a long time. Zach Galifianakis of The Hangover fame, adds his comical abilities to legendary Downey’s capabilities to weave together one of the best pregnant comedy films of all time.
Father-to-be Highman (Downey) is in an anxious journey home to make it for his child’s birth. Forced to ride with Ethan Tremblay (Galifianakis), the fun begins.
