Top news coming in to a chilly San Francisco today is about the end of 2012 and the things we learned. One of the lessons learned in 2012 was that the Mayans were wrong. The world did not, in fact, end on December 21, 2012.
That fact is good news. The bad news, however, is that now everyone has to pay the late fees on those credit cards they didn’t pay because they thought there was a chance the Mayans might have been right.
To see what all the fuss was about, this Examiner went to Cancun to experience the End of the World. You can read about her experiences here:

So, when we look back at 2012, other than knowing that life still goes on, what else did we learn?
From Clint Eastwood during 2012 we learned that it was possible to talk to a chair. Eastwood managed to have a full conversation with a chair, with nobody sitting on it. At the same time, he also managed to call President Obama the “greatest hoax.” (See that article here: Clint Eastwood calls Obama ‘greatest hoax’ (Video))
“I learned that women love to read porn,” says San Francisco resident, David Fraser. “With the success of the book ‘Fifty Shades of Grey,’ women were reading as never before. Men, on the other hand, are more interested in the movie. Men are more visual than women.
Another San Francisco resident, Alice Marshall, learned that winning at the Olympics, if it were only a silver medal and not a gold one, was not good enough. “The world saw the expression on U.S. Olympian McKayla Maroney‘s face when she only got the silver. She was clearly not happy.”
