Q: What have you been up to since American idol?
A: Just been staying really busy and going on tour and getting off that and doing the album. The album is coming out soon, so staying busy promoting that, so it is just non-stop.
Q: What are you favorite holiday traditions?
A: Eat. That is one that is a big tradition and one of my biggest hobbies. I like to eat a lot of food, so hopefully that happens a lot.
Q: What are your plans for Thanksgiving then?
A: Actually probably hopefully eat a lot food…and I’ll be on the road promoting the album.
Q: What kind of sound is on this album?
A: It’s a rock album. Its very diverse and eclectic. You know its got some funkiness going on and deep songs and kind of…well, you know it is a rock album.
Q: What is the best thing you have ever gotten for the holidays?
A: I don’t know I have gotten a lot of great things. I have noticed that as I have gotten older all you get is clothes, so it is not really as fun…so I have gotten a lot of clothes the past few years. So that is nice, I guess.
Q: So, what do you want for the holidays this year?
A: I don’t know this whole year has been a huge Christmas present for me. So you know, I really don’t know. My family has been asking, but I am already kind of thankful for what has happened this year.
Q: What is your favorite holiday dish?
A: Man, definitely some turkey…dressing…green beans…
Q: Are there any dishes you will cook?
A: Nah, probably not. I really don’t have too much time to cook and such…probably turkey?
What is your favorite holiday song?
A: I’ll be home for Christmas.
Check out Phillip Phillips new song Home.
Q: What can you tell us about the new album?
Kevin: Well, we are in the studio recording, writing and working on it right now. Hopefully, it will be done the beginning of the year and we are going to launch it next year along with a 20th year anniversary tour all over the world. But now we have a song on iTunes called It’s Christmas Time Again, written by these two guys.
Q: What is it like to get back together after 6 years apart?
Kevin: Well, they have always been rocking and rolling and it feels like we never skipped a beat.
Q: What are you doing for the holidays?
AJ: Well, I am having a baby, so that will take care of things for me.
Kevin: You are not having a baby she is…
AJ: Okay, we are having a baby…
Q: What do you want for the holidays?
Brian: Anything? Just to be home with my family. It’s all about being around the tree and drinking some hot chocolate.
Q: Where will you be spending the holidays?
AJ: It’s going to be here in LA with my family…my family will be out here as well and having Christmas at my house…so my wife and I finally got our own Christmas tree and we are going to do it at our house for the first time…It has all the Nightmare Before Christmas characters in it…so it is a pretty Gothic Christmas.
Q: Anything else you would like to add?
AJ: Well, we have the new song on itunes and we are just trucking away trying to get the new record done and hopefully we will have a tour starting in mid-spring/ summer. It will be an awesome tour…we have 20 years of music to pile into one show so…it will be awesome.
Q: What’s the best thing you have gotten for the holidays?
A: I would say the best thing I have gotten for the holidays would have been my first guitar. My grandfather gave it to me when I was 10 years old and it was the gift that kept on giving cause I learned how to play guitar on that player.
Q: What kind of guitar?
A: Nothing fancy it just had 6 strings and that is all I needed.
Q: What do you want for the holidays?
A: Well, I don’t need anything too weird, but I am asking for new tires this year for my truck. Good, old southern boys got to have their trucks and try to do something new to it. I am hoping I can get new tires.
Q: What are your holiday plans?
A: I am spending it with my family. I have been touring the whole year, so it is nice to get back and spend it with my family.
