New York, New York – MasterCard® and Latina Magazine have chosen CEO and Founder of Dreams in Heels Public Relations, Olga-Maria Czarkowski, as a “Next Generation Latina,” along with nine other inspiring women from around the country. The honorees will be awarded at the Next Generation Latina breakfast to be held at the Affinia Hotel in New York City on November 12, 2012. Quiara Alegría Hudes, play writer of the Tony-award winning musical “In The Heights,” will be the keynote speaker at the breakfast.
Women and Hispanics are said to have been deciding factors in Barack Obama’s win of a second term as President of the United States. This goes to show that Latina women are a force to be reckoned with! This is especially true of Olga-Maria Czarkowski, New York City’s fashionable entrepreneur who is always making her strides in heels. You can find Olga at many of New York City’s fashion events representing style and grace wherever she goes. She embodies her roots from being born in Brooklyn, NY from a Cuban Father and Puerto Rican Mother to being raised in her native country, Puerto Rico. Olga’s independent spirit and fast-paced lifestyle led her from Puerto Rico to Miami to where she has nested in New York City.
As founder of Dreams in Heels PR, Olga-Maria Czarkowski is an independent publicist and international public relations specialist. She has been a media darling and a red carpet commentator at the “Premios Latinos” awards for iVive H20. Yet Olga knows how to put fashionable PR muscle where it counts for Latino causes. She assists non-profits that focus on social issues women and poverty stricken communities face such as Casa Esperanza NY and Beating Cancer in Heels. She is also part of “Inspiring Lives with Dr. Shellie,” a new TV talk show focused on life stories of people who have triumphed over adversity. Olga’s personal mantra is: “I am living my dreams in heels.” She added, “my main goal and focus in life is to give back to the Latino community, to be a role model and a mentor to all young women, especially young Latina women. Strength and determination has been my guide to overcome different barriers and obstacles that has been in my path. I want to reach and inspire women all over the world.” And as a winner of this prestigious award, there is no doubt that she will.
