Monday, a new interview with Matt Damon released by Playboy magazine addressed all of the gay rumors that Matt Damon and Ben Affleck had a relationship; Damon finally spoke out about the rumors and said that he never said anything because he didn’t want to give the impression that anything was wrong with being gay.
Damon told Playboy:
I never denied those rumors because I was offended and didn’t want to offend my friends who were gay as if being gay were some kind of f–king disease. It put me in a weird position in that sense.
Matt Damon also said that he has a number of gay friends and he didn’t want to offend them; he said that is happy to see the advancement that gays have made over the last few years. Damon has made it known over the last few years that he supports gay marriage and the lifestyle.
The fact that Anderson Cooper and Ellen DeGeneres can come out so beautifully and powerfully, and it’s a big f–king deal that it turns out nobody gives a shit.
Matt Damon is a well-known actor who is good friends with Ben Affleck. The two have been friends for decades and grew up together in Boston. Together, they came up with the idea for the movie “Good Will Hunting” and starred in it.
