There are many ghost stories that are published in books. A lot of these stories originate in Maine. People from Maine like to read those stories and sometimes even like to visit those sites. Although there are many published ghost stories, there are also many that have not been written down for the whole world to see. The following story is about four Bangor area residents who went to Salem, Massachusetts, and brought a little something home with them.
During the winter of 2007, Jillian, and three of her friends went to Salem, Massachusetts, to buy some jewelry for an upcoming wedding. The girls were Pagan and figured there was no better place to buy jewelry. They left early in the morning and hit their destination around the time that the stores started opening. They found all of the jewelry they were looking for. They had lunch and they walked around Salem and checked out the scenery and some of the places that were supposed to be haunted.
When it got dark, the girls went to the Old Salem Jail, and the Howard Street Cemetery, to take pictures before they embarked on the long drive home. They took a lot of pictures, hoping to get some of orbs or other paranormal activity. It got cold so, Jillian and her friends, went back to the car and left for Maine.
While sitting in the back seat, Jillian had a very creepy feeling. The hairs on the back of her neck were standing on end. She didn’t say anything because she didn’t want her friends to think she was crazy. A little while into the drive home, Jillian felt a sensation in her back. It felt as if someone in the rear of the car was pushing in on the back of the seat. The problem was that there was no one in the rear of the station wagon. It only contained the bags from their shopping trip. Jillian turned to look at her friend who was sitting beside her and said “Did you feel that? It feels like someone is kicking the seat.” At the same time, her friend had looked at her and said the same thing.
The other girls didn’t have any creepy feeling and didn’t feel anything weird. They laughed at the girls in the back seat. Jillian and her friend put up with the awkward feeling during the whole trip home.
A few days later, Jillian, called her friend to see if she was still having the creepy feelings. Her friend told her that she hadn’t felt them since she got out of the car. The feeling hadn’t stopped for Jillian. After a few more days, she was hearing banging noises in her home. Occasionally, books or other objects would fall from her shelf for no apparent reason.
Jillian decided it would be a good idea to talk to her spirit guide and ask for advice. Her spirit guide told her that the spirit was that of a woman. The woman had died many years ago. She had left behind a child. The spirit was looking for her child and couldn’t find it. Jillian decided to talk with the spirit. She told her that she was sorry that the child wasn’t there. She told her that the child had long since passed away and was waiting for its mother in heaven. From that day on, Jillian has not had any trouble from the spirit they brought home from Salem.
Note: The woman who told this story wished to have her name left out. The name has been changed.
