“The X Factor” U.S. co-host Khloe Kardashian gave one of the most vapid interviews that an “X Factor” star has ever given. On November 28, 2012, Kardashian’s prerecorded appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” was televised, and she failed to say anything new or interesting about “The X Factor,” the show she was supposed to promote during an interview. The only new thing she revealed was that she and some other members of her family have been Photoshopped into the picture on the front of the Kardashian/Jenner family’s 2012 holiday greeting card.
Kardashian barely mentioned “The X Factor” at all in the interview, and spent less than 10 seconds talking about “The X Factor.” She probably wanted to avoid talking about “The X Factor” because she’s been getting major backlash from “X Factor” viewers who want her fired for her unprofessional behavior.
Interview questions on talk shows like “The Ellen DeGenres Show” are usually arranged in advance, so the person being interviewed already knows ahead of time what will be asked. So it was probably arranged in advance that Kardashian was not going to be asked too much about “The X Factor” in this interview. It’s not surprising that Kardashian wouldn’t be asked difficult questions, such as how she’s handling all the backlash from viewers who dislike her on “The X Factor,” but she didn’t even say any funny or interesting stories about her experiences on the show.
Instead, host Ellen DeGeneres stuck to asking Kardashian about things related to the end-of-year holidays. For anyone who cares, because Kardashian had to do a live episode of “The X Factor” on Thanksgiving, she said her family waited for her to finish her work before starting dinner at 8 p.m., which is later than their usual late-afternoon start time for Thanksgiving dinner. She mentioned that all of the immediate members of the Kardashian/Jenner clan were there, except for her husband, Lamar Odom (because he had a basketball game in New York; he plays for the Los Angeles Clippers); her sister Kourtney; Kourtney’s boyfriend Scott Disick; and Kourtney’s two kids.
When Khloe mentioned that “extended family members, boyfriends and girlfriends” are also part of the family’s holiday celebrations, DeGeneres remarked that the family get-togethers must be “different every year,” making an obvious reference to the ever-changing rotation of men in the life of Kim Kardashian, one of Khloe’s sisters. Khloe made a slight dig at Disick when she said with a laugh, “Who knew? I’m surprised Scott’s still around, but he’s here.”
Khloe then mentioned that she, her husband, Disick and her younger sister Kendall Jenner were all Photoshopped into the family’s holiday greeting card this year.
Khloe then prattled on for the rest of the interview about how her husband is afraid of the peacock that lives at their house: “Lamar is terrified of it. Lamar will run into the house.”
The only thing she said about “The X Factor” was at the very end of the interview, when she briefly commented, “I am enjoying it. It’s fun. It’s so scary.”
Not only is Khloe Kardashian a terrible “X Factor” host but she’s also terrible at promoting the show.
