Sunday night viewers will see the “Survivor: Philippines” winner crowned. There have been some solid “Survivor” spoilers out this season, but who will take home the title of being the season 25 winner? Dec. 11 The Hollywood Reporter chatted with host Jeff Probst, and he teased some very interesting tidbits. What did Jeff share?
Jeff Probst told The Hollywood Reporter that this season becomes very much about bringing the right people with you to the final Tribal Council. While this has been the case in many previous seasons, Probst seems to foreshadow that the choices some make in these final votes may make or break whether one castaway wins or loses. Could that be a hint about how things play out for Lisa Whelchel in these final two episodes? There has been a lot of talk about her strategy and gameplay in particular, and there are some “Survivor” spoilers and rumors that she may make it to the finals, but leave without a single vote in her favor.
Probst also teased that people will really get across their cases for why they deserve to win, and it must resonate with those on the jury. Jeff says,
“I think when you’re watching the finale, you will have a good idea who has won based on what they’re saying because as they tell their story, and when they’re telling their stories, it’s really clear who deserves to win.”
Jeff notes that this is not the way “Survivor” finales have always played out, and fans would not argue his point. Will the most deserving castaway win this season? Of course the big question becomes what defines “most deserving.” Some castaways vote based on the best strategy, some vote because they are bitter against one person in the finals, and others vote for who deserves the money the most based on their everyday lives. Probst does note that this season, the three finalists are all truthful about how they chose to play the game.
So, who will be the “Survivor: Philippines” winner? The “Survivor” spoilers that have been rumbling around for some time all seem to put Michael Skupin, Lisa Whelchel and Denise Stapley in the finals. While there could be a shocker yet to come, this particular spoiler has been looking quite solid. So, who wins? There had been a lot of buzz that led spoiler fans to think Skupin would walk away with the prize, but some spoiler forums think Denise Stapley may be the season 25 winner.
Do you think Jeff Probst’s teasers point in that direction? Who do you think deserves to win this season? Tune in to CBS Wednesday, Dec. 12 and Sunday, Dec. 16 to see if the “Survivor” spoilers for this season are correct. Who will be the season 25 “Survivor: Philippines” winner?
