Sunday, November 25, during his appearance at the 2012 Soul Train Awards, actor Jamie Foxx took his love for president Barack Obama way too far by disrespecting our true Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
“It’s like church over here. It’s like church in here. First of all, give an honor to God and our lord and savior Barack Obama. Barack Obama,” he said at the broadcast.
Foxx, who has been a very public advocate for Obama has received a great deal of criticism since his completely inappropriate comment. Whether Republican or Democrat, referring to any politician or mortal man as ‘Our Lord and Savior’ was simply too much for most people to take…..even many that support Obama.
His Facebook fan page has since been flooded with posters putting him in his place, and calling him out for his massive overstatement of the President, and for disrespecting Jesus in the process. Whether past fans or people that have never liked him to begin with, social networkers everywhere are letting him know that he should be ashamed of himself.
One poster on his official Facebook fan page said, “Get off TV. Go build you a shrine somewhere so you can worship Obama properly. You are a genuine idiot <——That may sound like a small angry rant but it is not. It is an honest and accurate description of you. You should not be allowed in any positions or mass communications because you are actually dangerous. Literally.” This comment received numerous “likes” upon its posting.
Another poster said, “I’m thankful that Jesus is my Lord and Savior, NOT Barack Obama.”
Yet another comment that undeniably said so much and received much approval read, “I would be grateful if everyone in Hollywood would get themselves onto a ship and sail themselves over to Europe or the Middle East…whichever…Jesus is my Lord and Savior, and I pray to him every single day…begging him to save the Country. I am proud to say that I quit spending money on all of the garbage coming out of Hollywood, I wish everyone else would do the same.”
Foxx couldn’t have presented himself in a more worldly, secular, shameful fashion, but he probably thought that his behavior was perfectly acceptable in today’s “anything goes” world.
Wrong, Jamie Foxx….so wrong! Just in case you’re reading this….you’re not funny, never have been, never will be at this rate, and likely…..your career is over too. If you’re throwing yourself a pity party, it is probable that you won’t have much company. Get your act together…and fast.
