Even though I like the color peach very much, I hadn’t thought to research it until my friend, Lightworker, Healer, Reiki and Vibrational Master Cinnamon Crow, author of the powerful Teen Oracle and Chakra Zodiac Healing Oracle card decks, said, ‘Sherri, write a column about peach!’ After looking into peach, I’m so happy that Cinnamon suggested it; and I’m delighted to share some interesting facts about this color:
Is peach your favorite color? Helium.com tells us that if it is, ‘You are sincere and appreciative…grateful for the little things…pleasant and loving. You enjoy getting together with friends and family, and have a likeable personality. You remain genuine and humble in spite of your numerous accomplishments; you have a friendly spirit.’ Squidoo.com says that if peach is your favorite color, you are gentle, charitable, and enthusiastic.
From Wikipedia: ‘The color peach represents immortality in Chinese culture.’
From Old Earth.com: ‘Energy healing using the color peach brings qualities of being charming and disarming. The energy healing properties of the color peach bring you courage and charm…use the energy healing properties of the color peach when you have lost your kind, true self and need to restore your sparkle.’
From Ehow.com: ‘Peach-colored roses signify feelings of gratitude and appreciation as well as admiration and sympathy. The gift of a peach rose can also express the sentiment, let’s get together.’
From Energy and Vibration.com: ‘Rose peach/coral is the Spirit resonating within each of us. It is our angelic quality, the loving clear space within, our Spirit pure. Rose peach/coral is the freedom and flight of our inner spirit, attuning with Source and meeting the light. Rose peach/ coral reminds us that the only thing that is important is just to BE who we are, and that that is enough. Rose peach/coral resonates at the Sacral and Transpersonal or Soul Star Chakras.’
I also went looking for some peach-colored stones for those of us who would like to try working with them and I found the following information about peach quartz, peach aventurine, and heulandite (a stone that is completely new to me):
- Peach Quartz: Healing Crystals.com provided the following info…‘Peach quartz can help one to transcend the mundane aspects of life, to open up to the Divine, and to discover their true intent that is for the highest good. Using peach quartz also helps to promote an understanding of how to connect one’s dreams to their reality. Peach quartz is wonderful for releasing energy blockages within the sacral and higher chakras. The clearing of these blockages can help one to recover self-respect, independence, creativity, and sociability.’
- Peach Aventurine: Healing Crystals For You.com provided the following info… ‘It is a sacral chakra stone… and one of the qualities of this variety of the stone is that of enhancing creativity. It may aid your leadership abilities, decisiveness and decision making abilities. To boost this action, combine it with other stones that also aid you to make decisions… including actinolite, bloodstones, herderite, mookaite jasper and clear apophyllite.’
- Heulandite: I also found the information about Heulandite at Healing Crystals For You.com… ‘Helulandite is a high-vibration stone… that is a powerful tool for meditation. It may take you on inner journeys to ancient civilizations such as Atlantis, Lemuria or Egypt. You may learn about past lives you have experienced there… and it aids you to heal situations that may be of a karmic nature… so you can stop the ongoing need to keep reliving these situations. White Heulandite [note from Sherri: Peach falls under the heading of White for this stone] has a frequency that is similar to that of herderite….and works particularly within the third eye and the crown chakra. It will aid the synchronization of both hemispheres of the brain…. and its stimulation within the brain can easily be felt by most people. As you begin to utilize this specific part of your brain… you will find that you may access Divine guidance more easily…this guidance may include making contact with new spirit guides.’
Thank you, Cinnamon, for suggesting that I look into peach! I have never meditated with a peach stone in my life, and after researching this column, I’m going to add peach stones to my collection ASAP. I’ll report on my meditation experiences with them in future columns.
