The Honey Boo Boo family sent out a world-wide invitation to all their fans on Sunday night, inviting them to spend New Year’s Eve with the Honey Boo Boo family and Kathy Griffin.
On the official Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Facebook page, the family calls the ringing in of 2013 “The Honey Boo Boo New Year”.
This year CNN will be teaming up with the self proclaimed redneck family. Anderson Cooper will be holding down the fort in NYC and comedian Kathy Griffin will be broadcasting live from deep in the trenches of Honey Boo Boo’s hometown of McIntrye, Georgia.
The Boo Boo family announced they will have their Christmas lights display on for the last time. The event is also serving another purpose, to support one of their security guards whose family lost everything in a fire on Friday.

Come ring in the Honey Boo Year with the Thompson/Shannon family in McIntyre, GA! We’ll be outside mingling with everyone all night! (100 Pine Circle McIntyre, GA) Display will be open from 6pm until midnight & we’ll start airing at 10pm ET on CNN. We’ll be airing LIVE via satallite [sic] with Anderson Cooper & Kathy (they will NOT be there) So come celebrate with us & bring in the new year, the honey boo boo way!

Several warnings have also been posted by the family, asking that people refrain from alcohol. The Boo Boo family wrote, “Absolutely NO alcohol on property! You will be asked to leave. Also be sure to bring your own refreshments, or there is a store within walking distance.”
The family also announced they will be holding a raffle. Tickets are $5 a pop. A total of six drawings will be held on site at the Boo Boo abode, whereby they will be giving away a “trash” portrait by Jason Mecier, Honey Boo Boo glasses, an 8 x 10 autographed picture of Alana Thompson and a picture of the winner with Honey Boo Boo. All proceeds will be given the the Ring family who along with their young son and nieces and nephews, lost everything in a house fire last week. One of the children, a 4-year-old boy, has undergone a prior heart transplant and been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes.
“Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” will return after a three month hiatus for several holiday specials on Jan. 6 at 9 PM EST on TLC.
“New Year’s Eve LIVE with Anderson Cooper” starts at 11 PM EST on Dec. 31 on CNN.
