Homeless man mocked in wedding video for Justin Timberlake reaches out to him. Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel were recently married in Italy. During the wedding it was alleged that friends of Justin Timberlake’s showed a video which included footage of several homeless people. According to CNN on Tuesday, Dec. 25 a homeless man featured in the video is now asking for Justin Timberlake’s assistance.
The wedding video provided footage of homeless people sending their well-wishes to the newly married couple. Justin Timberlake has since denied the allegations that the video was shown during the wedding. However, he did provide an open apology letter for the content of the video.
Timberlake said that his “knucklehead” friends who were responsible had a lapse in judgement, and a distasteful one at that. While the lavish wedding was most likely the target, the video comes across as making fun of the L.A. homeless population. One toothless man says, “Justin, Jessica. I haven’t seen you all in a long time, my gift is in the mail.”
Now a homeless man featured in the video has come forward to ask Justin Timerlake to visit him on Skid Row. Attorney Gloria Allred appeared in a news conference on Skid Row in Los Angeles to present Eddie, the homeless man featured in the wedding video, so that he can plead his case to Justin Timberlake.
“I just want Justin Timberlake to come and talk to me about the things he can do to help us people that’s down and out and that’s lost things in our lives and not back on track,” said “Eddie.”
Gloria Allred also included a statement asking Justin Timberlake and his friends to provide assistance to Eddie and other homeless individuals.
“This issue is not just about fans being upset or anyone being offended by a video,” Allred said. “It is about people being down on their luck and in desperate need of help by those who are in a position to provide it. Mr. Timberlake, you, and your friends and others are in a position to provide that help.”
Eddie and the other homeless individuals were paid $40 for their cooperation to be filmed in the video. However, they were unaware that they would be mocked as a part of the final footage.
In Justin Timberlake’s open letter he offered an apology and stated that his friends would commit to do at least 100 hours of community service for the distasteful and to some disrespectful wedding video.
