Wade: “Tucker, what are you doing here? I thought you went for a run.”
George: “I thought better of it. It sounded like work.”

Wade and George assist with an Eagle Rangers camping trip! This is a great storyline that showcases Wade and George’s friendship. It isn’t hard to figure out that George wants to talk to Wade about dating Tanzee. What makes the storyline really shine is all of Wade’s interactions with Connor, especially his cookie and brownie conversations. Overall this is a great example of a fun storyline that ends up revealing serious concerns. Wade’s tendency to view himself as subpar to George is discussed, and it is an excellent character moment for him. Did you fall in love with Connor?
Lemon oversees Ruby with another man, and she enlists the help of Zoe to get to the bottom of it. Most of the time when Lemon and Zoe team up, it is absolutely fantastic to watch. This is one of those times. They almost resemble friends. As it turns out, Ruby is not cheating on Lavon. Instead, she is considering taking a job in Dallas, and in fact, she does so. The decision to have her take the job but push off when she starts work is interesting. It is highly unlikely that this relationship will end well, and it might be best to just send Ruby off and move on. Either something will happen, most likely involving Lemon and Lavon, that prompts a break up before the beginning of the year or Ruby and Lavon will attempt to do the long distance thing. Where do you think their relationship is headed?
Brick is looking to take things to the next level with Emily, but shock of shocks, Magnolia is not on board. This is hardly an entertaining storyline. The writers seem determined to showcase more of daily lives of Brick and Magnolia, thus taking them from sideline characters to main characters. It isn’t working. They work better when they are being shown in conjunction with one of the main characters. On their own, they don’t stand out enough. What do you think? Did you enjoy their time in this episode?
