The tenth episode of “Grimm,” which aired on Friday, Nov. 2, had a bang of an ending. For those that haven’t seen the “Hour of Death” episode that featured the sadistic killings of two Wesen guilty of a kidnapping, you may want to stop reading now. For those that can’t stand the suspense and want to find out what happened between Nick’s superior Captain Renard and Nick’s girlfriend Juliette, keep reading.
Between forcing Nick to continue sleeping on the couch and being unable to track down Adalind Schade, Juliette Silverton has been having a difficult time adjusting to what has happened to her. She still can’t remember anything about her past life with Nick, the man she has lived with for the last few years.
Captain Renard isn’t faring much better; since his visit to Monroe at Rosalee’s Exotic Tea and Spice Shop, he knows his obsession with Juliette is only going to get worse. For whatever reasons, he called Juliette to set up a meeting at a coffee shop. Renard told Juliette he wanted to discuss Nick’s distractions and the difficult situation between Nick and Juliette. However, both seemed secretly thrilled that they would be seeing one another without Nick anywhere nearby.
When they met at the coffee shop, they both acted like teenagers, stumbling over their words and smiling nervously at one another. Juliette had a slip of the tongue – or did she? – and said, “I’m starting over with you… I mean, him. I’m starting over with him.” At this, Renard grabbed Juliette’s hand and told her what had happened to her wasn’t her fault. Juliette then quickly left the cafe, leaving her sunglasses on the table.
Later in the evening, Renard stopped by to return Juliette’s sunglasses to her. Nick was still gone finishing up his investigation and as Renard and Juliette talked, he kissed her. They stopped for a moment and then kissed longer and more passionately. As the kiss intensified, Juliette had a memory of Renard kissing her in the hospital. Renard then left, with a slight grin on his face, as Juliette slide to floor as she closed the door. She now knows the truth about how she was awakened from the spell and coma Adalind placed on her.
According to the short snippet of next week’s “Grimm” episode, Juliette tells Nick she has feelings for someone else and Nick demands to know who it is. Only two more episodes of the fairy tale themed cop drama remain in 2012. With holiday programming, viewers will be left wondering what 2013 holds for the future of Nick, Juliette, Renard, Monroe, Rosalee and the rest of the characters on “Grimm.”
