Who does not love the stress of picking out the perfect gift, while fighting crowds for the best prices? Okay, maybe we are being a tad bit sarcastic here. Well, it is 2012 and the search giant, Google, is here to make this time of year a whole lot simpler. The Google Shopping team announced today their incredible new tools, which will help holiday shopping become stress-free.
Let us pretend we are shopping for a new toy for our children. We see images of the toys in print ads and on retail websites. However, we cannot really picture what the toy would even look like. Google Shopping has come up with 360-images of their online products.
The interactive photograph gives that in-store feeling when browsing gift ideas. Check out their “3D” swivel icon, which is on the product image to see the toy in detail. They have even gathered a Holiday Toy Collection that features the enhanced imagery, while making exploring simple.
For retailers or manufacturers who want to add their products should complete the Google form.
One of the new features in Google Shopping is their shortlists. This makes researching products and planning a purchase with family and friends a walk in the park. The shortlists help eliminate collecting bookmarked websites and long lists of documents that one is sharing back-and-forth via email. Now, one can collaborate their shopping plans with others by keeping track of the products in a single location. It even allows side-by-side specs, photos, prices and sharing these lists.
Promotions and deals
Google Shopping is to here to help with making the most of a holiday budget. They feature discounts and other promotions on the products. If there are available deals, one can click on the link. The link will take the user to a retailer’s website to redeem the promotional offer.
Wait, there is more!
Ever curious what other people have to say about an item? Well, they are even offering reviews on products to help choose that perfect gift. Sometimes, we may think about the perfect gift, but it is not quite, what we were looking for. Google Shopping has this covered too with their “visually similar” results.
Even with all these new features, we may still need more inspiration. Check out their holiday catalogs, which is compiled from the top retailers directly on Google Shopping.
