Say it isn’t so? Goldie Hawn is 67 years old. That cannot possibly be right. Well it is, and Goldie is as young and vibrant as she ever was by using Pilates and other tricks to keep her that way. Access Hollywood reported on Nov. 30 that Hawn reveals her secrets in the winter issue of “Prevention” magazine.
Exercising four days a week is at the top of Goldie’s list, including Pilates. Clearly it’s working for this celebrity as she recently participated in a charity bike ride. She cycled for 30 miles as part of an effort to raise money for cancer research at the University of Miami Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center.
In addition to a good diet, Goldie uses yoga and meditation to maintain her bubbly personality. Her happiness and exuberance just seems to naturally shine through. Earlier this year Hawn said,
“I am compelled to continuously see the bright side,” she says. “It is in my DNA. My kids look at me and say: ‘Mom, you’re so happy!’ And I do feel happy. I feel joyful, inside. I can’t explain it.”
Daily meditation has helped Goldie center herself, and settle her mind and find a more peaceful life. It looks like she has found that life away from Hollywood. For the last 10 years she has focused on her foundation, written a book and started a program called “MindUP” which helps teach kids how to reduce stress and anxiety through mindfulness.
“I just had such a need to concentrate on this one thing, on the foundation and on helping kids become better able to focus and organize their brains, to help them toward happiness.”
Using a combination of a healthy diet, yoga, Pilates and meditation has obviously worked for Goldie Hawn. If it can work for her, then it can work for anyone.
