OK parents, It’s time we had a talk. Little Billy or Sister Sue has made it quite clear that they are getting videos games from Santa. So what games are right for the 4-7 year old crowds? I have a few ideas.
For the little girl in your life may I recommend Hello Kitty Picnic with Sanrio Friends. This Nintendo 3DS game is suited specifically for your little one. In it you get to join your friends in collecting goods and getting them ready for a picnic. There are 10 mini games that are sure to make the little Hello Kitty fan in your house love it. Hello Kitty Picnic, published by Majesco can be purchased now for $29.99,
Also up are two great 2 pack sets of games from the people that brought you the Original Cooking Mama! Cooking Mama Volume 1 & Cooking Mama Volume 2. In these, you actually get 2 games each, although sadly they are for the regular DS. In Volume 1 you get the original Cooking Mama & Camping Mama! While in Volume 2 you get Cooking Mama 2 & Crafting Mama! Mama is at it again, in all these titles you use the stylus to pick, move hammer, sew and pretty much do anything your hands would do to get the best score possible. Its light hearted, energetic and will keep the younger ones happy for a while. For $29.99 each, these are a great deal.
For the little bit older crowd you have Big time Rush Dance Party (for the Wii) and Big Time Rush Backstage Pass (for the DS). These two games are sure to drive you parents nuts, but you just may have a tween or younger child you loves them some Big Time Rush. Both are music titles that allow you to either dance (Wii) or Tap (DS) along with your favorite tracks from the boy band. Neither are anything super advanced, but they work and obviously are aimed at the tween audience or those who really like this boy band. Both can be picked up for a cool $29.99.
Another title not to be overlooked for our younger ones is Kinect Sesame Street TV. This downloadable title for the Xbox 360 with Kinect brings the Sesame Street experience into your home, allowing you child to interact with their favorite characters. This is a must buy for $29.99
Obviously there are more games out there than I have room to talk about, but lets go ahead and wrap this up with my number one pick. If I could only buy 1 game, for a boy or a girl, who has a Nintendo 3DS, it would be Super Mario Bros 2. Its fun, easy to pick up and has that classic feel to it. Train your kids early! Let them know the love that is Super Mario! Trust me… They will thank you for it come Christmas morning!
