Guests from all over the world and the United States have ventured to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Walt Disney World at Lake Buena Vista, Fla. since November 9. There are a total of 20 magical scheduled party nights this year for the entire family to enjoy.
Although the party starts at 7:00 p.m. those that have a ticket for the party may enter the park as of 4 p.m. All other guests that don’t have a holiday wristband must leave the park. The wristband distinguishes Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party guests from all other park guests.
Upon entry to Walt Disney World, it is magically adorned with a huge Christmas tree that has life size look a like popcorn garlands and ornaments almost the size of basketballs as well as lighted garlands all along Main Street and poinsettias forming Christmas trees.
As soon as people arrive they start lining up along the Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Parade route for viewing of the first parade that starts at 8:15 p.m from Frontierland and ends at the entrance on Main Street, U.S.A. A second parade is at 10:30 p.m. for those that are not able to catch the first parade. Marching wooden soldiers, dancing gingerbreads, Cinderella, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, dancing reindeers and of course what’s a Christmas parade without Santa Clause himself followed by a snowfall along Main Street, U.S.A.
Cinderella’s Castle is draped with 200,000 glistening white lights that are spotted from the entrance. The castle lights change colors throughout the Celebrate the Season Show at the Castle Forecourt Stage and during Holiday Wishes, Celebrate the Spirit of the Season fireworks spectacular orchestrated to holiday melodies.
Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse join their friends at the Castle Forecourt Stage to celebrate the holiday season in a dazzling spectacular show, Celebrate the Season. Donald, Chip, Dale, Pluto and Goofy interact with performers in a celebration that features Minnie receiving her Christmas gift from Mickey.
After you watch the shows and parade and not midnight yet you can enjoy the rides as well.
And while you’re prancing around enjoy the complimentary treats of hot chocolate, cookies and apple slices. The treats are fulfilling when it’s cool out and your tummy is a little hungry.
