MODE of Cosmic Therapy: Delving Into the Deep Waters of Our Souls for Understanding of Surface Disruption
Our fixed, immovable ideas and notions keep us imprisoned. We are completely enslaved to the memories we cherish, concepts we’ve adopted and thoughts we refuse to release. These thoughts can either be validated or illusive, in nature; it does not matter. The detrimental, binding influence, they inflict upon us is the same. Whether we choose to elevate our minds with continual egoist refuse or denigrate our personage with hideous blame, the devastating results are the same. Flooded by surprising, blatant, unexplained actions, which confuse and confound because, we don’t connect the unsuspecting current of deep sea turbulence. We don’t have a verifiable clue that the emotions arise from deep within us, not from another source. We are the numbed zombies controlled as puppets!
When we hold an idea, (meaning: fixed, unmovable, too familiar), it prevents us from being able to see what lies beneath. What lies beneath, directly affects what shows up on the surface. In other words, not being able to see what lies beneath, affects the temperature of the existing environment of any relationship. Whether that relationship is emotional, physical, mental, spiritual or financial, the velocity of pressure, ultimately, disturbs the surface. It’s sort of like the turbulence (transitional exchange of very cold water in the depths of the ocean being carried to high altitudes); this movement affects the climate on the planet. Did you know that?
When we get so upset, blaming others for our inept insistence and determined refusal to accept responsibility of our transitional changes, we shut out the light of true understand. Natural light does not penetrate the deep ocean, with the exception of the upper parts, known as the mesopelagic (twilight zone) where it is not enough for photosynthesis to occur. The deep sea is an environment completely unfriendly to humankind, and it should come as no surprise that it represents one of the least explored areas on Earth.
“The average ocean depth is 4.3 kilometers” (2.65 miles In fact, the turbulence packs an energy wallop equal to about five million watts — comparable to output from a small nuclear reactor, according to a landmark study led by Florida State University researcher Louis St. Laurent and described in the August 9 edition of the journal Nature.) http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2007/08/070809172136.htm
I bring this unlikely comparison up, to make a point, about the vital importance of uncovering the turbulent depth of our motivation. Most human will not tackle the ‘deep waters’ of themselves for fear of what they may find or more important, how they would be forced into a certain acceptance of what really is (true impersonal nature of themselves) instead of how they want things to be; the old (I am a good and decent person) scenario.
Yes, we are driven by totally submerged, unconscious turbulence which, while we may never fully know or comprehend the stringed variations and far reaching complications, we can get closer to the “Why” of what we do IF we invest the time, energy, effort and inclination to observe the varying degrees of noticeable pressure in ourselves, as if, watching fish in a fish tank. Oceanographers attempt to measure the pressure of the deep waters, by cutting-edge sophisticated instruments and technological advanced devices. We, on the other hand, have the razor sharp two–edged blade of the sword of truth IF we care to use it. Do we? No. We prefer to stay locked up in the proverbial, comfortable, familiar walled prisons of our own minds.
We will ever be free? Aha! Immediately, you came up with your own brand of definition for what the word ‘freedom’ means, didn’t you? Of course, you did. I did, too. And, as long as we have an idea of what it means to be free, it prevents us from being completely free. Freedom possibly means the ability to embrace the unadulterated, unbiased, unprejudiced, unrehearsed and unproven moment arising in the NOW without a ‘lust of result’. Are we, as human beings, capable of meeting the present moment in such an ‘untouched by expectation’ manner?
How paradoxical has this particular writing turned out to be! I started by declaring we must plunge into the depths to discover the relative turbulence and ended by asking, of us, to envelope the present moment completely, utterly present, without guile or interpretation. It would seem as if it’s impossible to achieve, or at the very least, we are blinded by ignorance in order to sustain the act, itself. For IF we think we already know, how could we possibly learn?
Awareness is the key to being lifted up out of the depths of despairing ignorance into the light of perfect understanding. It’s a sublime circular venture of unending depths, spiraling vortexes and cross current passageways that seem to consume rather than release. Could be; but, at the same time, we will never fully be able to comprehend the temperature of the varying distressful climate in our relationships, actions and associations until we go into the deep waters. Are you ready? Let’s go!
