The December 15 benefit for Sea Bright Rising sponsored by Red Bank Flavour was a tremendous success in lending aid to the hurricane-ravaged community. More than 14 Red Bank restaurant and food venues participated in the heavily sponsored event raising a total of $130,000.
The Beach Bash fundraiser was hosted by the Ocean Place Resort and Spa. Sea Bright Rising was founded by local residents in an effort to help neighbors that were displaced or in need of help after Hurricane Sandy. The non-profit is devoted to helping Sea Bright with the daunting task of rebuilding their lives and community.
Lifting Shore residents’ spirits and lending further support to the Jersey Shore on New Year’s Eve, Avenue restaurant, Long Branch, will ring in the New Year with a party where 10 percent of all sales will be donated to Waves for Water Superstorm Sandy Relief Initiative to assist with the region’s rebuilding efforts.
At David Burke Fromagerie, Rumson, enjoy the high life with a four-course prix-fixe dinner served with a toast of Veuve Clicquot. The Fromagerie Jazz Quartet will have you dancing into 2013. The dinner is $105 per person exclusive of tax and gratuity. For an additional $50, guests can commemorate the evening with an engraved 2013 Fromagerie Happy New Year 375 ml Veuve Clicquot Champagne Rosé split.
If your New Year’s Eve plans are to head south to Atlantic City, Revel Resort has eight solid hours of continuous live entertainment for guests to enjoy, including atmosphere models, dancers, DJs and greeters throughout the resort culminating in a countdown show at the DigiPit with cutting edge choreography. Revel will also ring in Auld Lang Syne and 2013 at all 12 restaurants under the toques of super star chefs, nightlife and the casino floor.
On January 4, the Holiday Express benefit at Sickles Market that was cancelled due to Hurricane Sandy, is rescheduled and happening. The Wine and Cheese Tasting Benefit for Holiday Express is all set for Friday, January 4 from 7 to 10 p.m.
The event will be held in Sickles Market’s beautiful greenhouse with award-winning specialty foods, artisanal cheeses, and premium wines. The denim-casual event will offer live entertainment by some of the best talent from the Holiday Express band; a silent auction brimming with rare, collectible wines hand selected from our area’s top wine collectors, and a live auction that includes the hugely popular and totally unique Wine Crawls (progressive tours of some of the Jersey Shore’s best private wine cellars).
