First Night Danbury, is a family friendly New Year’s Eve celebration now in its’ twenty-third year. The theme for the 2012-2013 celebration salutes “Danbury Fare.” The pun is intended, with memories of Danbury’s historic and iconic “fair” along with recognition of the City’s “fare”: continuing development and service within the downtown hub of this iconic New England city.
First Night takes place on New Year’s Eve, December 31, from 4 pm to 8 pm in many Danbury downtown venues, all within easy walking distance of one another. CityCenter Danbury, the producing umbrella for First Night Danbury, will keep its offices at 186 Main Street open on Saturday and Sunday, December 29 and 30, from 1 p.m. to – 4 p.m., and all day Monday, December 31, beginning at 9:30 a.m., to accommodate those who haven’t yet purchased their First Night buttons for the New Year’s Eve festivities on Monday, December 31.
