Hollywood sympathy emerges in the wake of the Newton shooting on Friday for the second time since last summer as they stepped forward for their share of accountability since assassin, James Holmes the alleged shooter involved in the horrific Aurora, Colo.,tragedy of the Dark Knight theater that involved the shootings of 24 counts of murder in the first degree, 116 counts of attempt to commit murder in the first degree and one count of possession of an explosive device.
This past Friday at the Connecticut Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Newtown, Connecticut at the hands this time of shooter ‘Adam Lanza’, he left 28 dead, including 20 grade school children.
Cancelling movie premieres like action shoot ’em up thriller ‘Jack Reacher’ starring Tom Cruise,“Due to the terrible tragedy in Newtown Connecticut, and out of honor and respect for the families of the victims whose lives were senselessly taken, we are postponing tomorrow’s Pittsburgh premiere of ‘Jack Reacher’,” Paramount Pictures stated yesterday. “Our hearts go out to all those who lost loved ones.”
But it seems that, when in doubt lets make violent films to fill theater seats with crazies who can’t distinguish fantasy from reality, by creating violent films. There should be a touch screen at the theater box office to screen mental cases, Question 1:Do you believe in God?*Question 2:Did you have a happy home life growing up? * Question 3:When in a room filled with decent people do you feel good in their company? Or do you want to open fire on them with a semi automatic weapon for no reason? Any murdering psycho would definitely screw up that quiz.
Billy Crystals new movie ‘Parental Guidance’ premiere was also cancelled, since it depicts kids, many behaving badly, one even toting a semi automatic water gun, and another with a kid using a baseball bat as a deadly weapon against Billy’s scrodum. Also SyFy’s Channels ‘Haven’ violent episodes are being pulled, now Fox has also followed suit, honoring the victims of the Connecticut school massacre by pulling new violent episodes of Stewey on ‘Family Guy’ and a rough ‘American Dad’ on Sunday that won’t be airing. There’s also a questionable upcoming 60’s rerun episode of Ward getting hard on ‘The Beaver’ on the TV Land Network getting yanked. It seems Hollywood feels that they have to appeal to our violent side to get out attention.
Addressing the nation Sunday about the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Newtown, Conn. was President Barack Obama speaking at a memorial televised to the American public about the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Newtown, Conn., the president could not be undone by grief and became visibly emotional while discussing the tragedy that has so far taken the lives of seven adults and 20 children.Wiping at his eye and appearing to fight back tears of emotion, the president paused for roughly 10 seconds, as his own words sank in about the enormity of the tragedy, Opening his reflection saying “We’ve endured too many of these tragedies in the past few years, and each time I learn the news I react not as a president, but as anybody else would, as a parent.” Going on to say, “And that was especially true today. I know there’s not a parent in America who doesn’t feel the same overwhelming grief that I do.” He was totally aware of the pain facing the victims families and the rest of us who can only remember watching the horror unfold.
The president’s, eyes were visibly wet and wiping at his cheek, as he went on to say, “Among the fallen were also teachers, men and women who devoted their lives to helping our children fulfill their dreams. With their entire lives ahead of them: birthdays, future graduations, weddings. Kids of their own,”said the president, still visibly upset. “Among the fallen were also teachers, men and women who devoted their lives to helping our children fulfill their dreams.” The President ended his eulogy by stating “We’re going to have to come together and take meaningful action to prevent more tragedies like this, regardless of the politics.”
From here on out parents every night at bed time will all hug their children tighter and tell them that they love them.
