“Commit your works to the Lord, and your thoughts will be established.” – Proverbs 16:3
This message serves as the conclusion to Monday’s Daily Word. If you haven’t read part one, please click here to receive all which God has for you concerning this most-important topic.
Previously, we received revelation and expansion concerning committing our works to the Father. As we commit our works, our ways, and our walk to the Lord, He promises to establish our thoughts. The Hebrew word for “thoughts” as used here is machashebeth (pr. makh-ash-eh-beth), which is “a contrivance, a texture, intention, plan, imagination, purpose, to weave, plait, interpenetrate” (Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance).
The meaning “texture” kept lighting up before my spiritual eyes. According to Webster’s Dictionary, texture is “something composed of interwoven elements,” and further defines “interpenetrate” as “to penetrate mutually, to pass through or in, to discover the inner contents or meaning of, to diffuse through or into.”
When we commit our works to our omniscient (all-knowing) Father, then our thoughts are interwoven with His thoughts, and as the Holy One diffuses His character through us, we begin to discover the inner contents, the meaning of those hidden things; which, when revealed, give us the victory over every situation and circumstance. The Ancient of Days (Attiq Yomin) beckons us to “Call unto me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you know not” (Jeremiah 33:3).
As we continue to be woven into the fabric of the Father, we become strong and resistant to being torn apart, because the Word of God declares that “a threefold cord is not easily broken” (Ephesians 4:12). This is what a “plait” is, which is one of the meanings of “thought.” Webster enlightens us in that a “plait” is “a braid of material,” and a “braid” consists of three or more strands. When we commit our very being unto the Lord, then we are woven into the threefold cord, which is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We become that fourth strand, woven into the holy and divine threefold cord of creation.
To be established is kuwn (pr. koon), which means “to stand perpendicular, confirm, make proper or prosperous, perfect.” Perpendicular angles are known as right angles because they meet at 90 degrees. The Lord will straighten out every crooked line in our lives. “And I [The Lord] will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them” (Isaiah 42:16).
When we are woven into our Father, we are established; and therefore are given all the right angles, which means we flow, operate, and function in complete victory because we are given the perfect strategy for every success. And we are made prosperous. Our prosperity is the fruit that comes from committing our works to the one who committed His life for us, to us, and through us.
Are you tired of contending with the crooked things in your life, my brother? Are you tired of those situations, those things, not bending for you, my sister? Then commit your works to your Loving Father, Who is ready, willing, able, and eager to take the wrong of your life, and make it right.
Father, weave us into your three-fold cord. Braid us in, as your fourth strand, to your holy and divine cord of creation. Do a supernatural work in us, so that we can become all that You have created us to be. We are tired of doing things our way, and making a mess. Take our mess, take our lives, take our situations, take our thoughts, and make them right. In Jesus Name, we thank You that You have made us right through the One Whose Name we pray, Who become broken for us so that we could be made whole. Amen and Amen.
Take action! Challenge your thinking! Choose to allow God to weave you into His threefold cord by surrendering yourself, your ways, and your thoughts over to Him every day. Choose to decree, declare, and thank the Father for giving you His thoughts. And continue to fight the good fight of turning over all your angles to the Father; for God, your Right Angle, has already given you the victory!
God tells us that we are blessed to be a blessing (Genesis 12:2). Be a blessing to someone by sending them this word of encouragement.
