February 3, 2012, 8 p.m., Buckhannon, Upshur County, WV. Case 35454. “My wife and I were driving home from dining out, travelling west on U.S. Route 33 from Elkins, WV, past Buckhannon, WV, to Interstate 79,” the reporting witness stated. “At approximately 8 p.m. EST we first observed unusual lights in the sky to the south of US 33. This would have occurred in eastern Randolph County or western Upshur County. We both observed these lights for approximately the next 25 minutes. It was a single flying object that moved at varying rates of speed, in varying directions and at varying elevations, and briefly stayed fixed at one location before accelerating away. However, the object’s general flight path was from the southeast toward the northwest. At times the object appeared to be approximately a mile to the south of U.S. 33, then several miles to the south, and occasionally a little to the north of U.S. 33. The object appeared to vary in altitude, generally from approx 500 feet to 2,000 feet above ground, until it began climbing to maybe a mile or more in altitude at the end of the time that we could observe the object.”
February 3, 2012, 8:05 p.m., Minneapolis, Hennepin County, MN. Case 35476. “I was waiting on my front porch for a food delivery when I looked up and noticed a very large, bright object moving slowly in the sky due west,” the witness stated. “It stopped suddenly and did not move for several minutes as two commercial airplanes flew past it in the opposite directions. When it moved again I ran into my house and retrieved my video camera and returned outside and filmed it moving closer as well as moving downward. It stopped and hovered for quite a while, maybe 18 minutes or more above the house across the street from mine.”
February 4, 2012, 10:15 p.m., Howel, Livingston County, MI. Case 35469. “A friend had just left my house and called me on my cell and told me to come outside and look south as there was something strange,” the witness stated. “I went out in my driveway and saw an object with two bright lights with a smaller yellow light in the center. My friend by this time was out of his car and we were watching this thing. It was not going very fast. As it got closer we could then see all the lights, so we knew it wasn’t a plane or anything that we have seen before. He has a picture that he took with phone. It was a little ways away by the time he thought of getting a picture, but you can see the shape and lights. It did not make any sound.”
February 8, 2012, 7:31 p.m., Monroe, Snohomish County, WA. Case 35577. “I first noticed the object because I was looking at the stars and it seemed a little too large to be a star,” the witness stated. “I thought it was a star. The first object flew straight up. The object in the middle stayed still and the last one collided with the one in the middle.”
February 8, 2012, 8:30 p.m., Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, PA. Case 35614. “I was in my car sitting in park,” the witness stated. “My brother was getting his groceries out of the trunk. He went into the house and then my daughter was yelling ‘mommy.’ She was sitting in the front seat next to me. I look to my right and we saw what looked like a small, triangle-shaped object with three bright whites. It was so close to us. It was like 30 feet in the air and probably 20 feet away from us. It just drove straight. As it got behind the house it disappeared fast. We heard a slight sound coming from it at the time. There was also a black helicopter that I just saw take off like three minutes before we saw the UFO. The helicopter is a life flight. It came from Allegheny General Hospital. We only got to see this object for 10 to 12 seconds. This thing was very low and when it went behind the house it disappeared.”
February 10, 2012, 6:40 p.m., St. Petersburg, Pinellas County, FL. Case 36217. “It was 6:42 p.m. when we were right up near the object,” the witness stated. “They were on our right on the passenger side of the car. My son put his window down for a better look. Other than the noise from the wind and cars next to us, there was no sound like engines or anything coming from the lights themselves. There were three lights on our right side, west of the car just off the Interstate coming towards us. The farthest light was a normal headlight-looking light that would be on a plane, big and round. The next one closest was however bigger and still round, then the closest one to us was smaller in size and again, round. There was a very small, blinking red light between the first and second light and a white blinking light between the second and third light. Very odd looking for a plane. We both agreed it was not a plane or a helicopter or anything that could be identified.”
February 14, 2012, 7 p.m., Marco Island, Collier County, FL. Case 35379. “I first heard several helicopters awfully low,” the witness stated. “At least to what we are accustomed to down here. Then I heard a jet maybe two minutes later. I peeped out the window and saw nothing. Maybe 10 minutes later they passed again but louder than the first time so I ran out to look and I caught the sound of the copter going behind and to the right, which would be north, at least northish. I looked up. It was a orange, but not light orange and it wasn’t that reddish object off to the side of Orion’s Belt. This was an odd shade of orange.”
February 14, 2012, 9:30 p.m., Oxford Charter Township, Oakland County, MI. Case 35848. “I was heading east when I saw what first appeared to be a helicopter, however on approach I noticed that there were no flashing lights,” the witness stated. “I stopped my vehicle at the top of a high point in the road with my windows down and shut off my motor. As the object got closer I was in a near direct path of it. As it went over just ahead of my vehicle (if I had to guess between 400-500 feet above) I realized it was triangular in shape. It had white lights on all three sides and I could see all three sides as if it were on a slight axis. There were very low clouds due to heavy rain. It made no sound and was headed in a northwest direction at a steady rate of speed. I saw no stars in the night sky, not even the moon. It was heavy overcast, which on approach led me to believe it was a helicopter. I am not 100 percent, but it appeared to be moving in a slow, steady rotational motion as it went by in a direct line. I tried to follow it but it was heading in a direction I was not able to follow, northwest. All roads in the area are east, west, north or south.”
February 16, 2012, 9:06 p.m., Stillwater, Payne County, OK. Case 35880. “My family and I were in the living room with windows facing the north,” the witness stated. “It was about nine or a little after in the night. My eye was caught by a bright light coming through the slits in the blinds. I went outside and saw it was a sphere about as tall as a high tower would be. I do know there are no towers in that direction. The light was round in shape, large and brighter than most stars I have seen. It was yellow-orange and looked fiery in the center, like you could see inside of it if you were closer. My daughters and I were all viewing it. Then after a minute of complete stillness and hovering it rose up slowly. No noise. With a faint whir it changed into a craft. On the underbelly it had a circle, two crescent shapes coming into each other. One side was blue light and the other was red of the crescent shapes. There was also more faint, white, smaller light on the underbelly. We were mystified about the whole event. It glided slowly and quietly over our neighborhood towards the south. My daughter noted that it was triangle-shaped with a tail. One thing to note would be when we first saw the ball of light there were strange bird noises on the next street over. I don’t know if they were associated but it seemed they were in reaction, response or a part of it. I then ran through the house to the front and saw it disappear into the distance.”
February 17, 2012, 7 p.m., Huntington Beach, Orange County, CA. Case 35894. “I looked up to watch passing commercial jets high in the sky and all of a sudden I saw a silent triangle with faint lights glide over me from east to west,” the witness stated. “Appeared 5,000 feet to 18,000 feet. It appeared very large, maybe 1,000 feet across. I am a pilot and know this was no airplane I have ever seen. It appeared to glide past at a high rate of speed. It was amazing as it glided towards the ocean heading 240 degrees to the west.”
February 17, 2012, 7:09 p.m., Mounds View, Ramsey, MN. Case 35908. “As we were passing it, it was a large, black triangle with lights only on one angle,” the witness stated. “It seemed to be tilted and hovering in one spot, not moving. She sat and stared also and said, ‘Oh my Gosh Mom, what is that?’ I said, ‘Let’s circle the block and check it out!’ We both had hair standing on edge. As we got to the next block where we could take a left to head in that direction, we lost it in the tree line. I said, ‘It is OK. We will catch it when we turn the corner.’ Well, as we turned the corner, there was absolutely nothing. We were baffled. So we drove back up Highway 10 and recreated our drive. Nothing!”
February 24, 2012, 7:35 p.m., Sacramento, Placer County, CA. Case 36047. “I was outside on my porch looking up into the sky and witnessed a UFO at a low altitude moving roughly from south to north across the sky,” the witness stated. “I noticed a very faint light coming my direction at a very rapid velocity. The light was highlighted on the front of the craft in a thin line almost invisible. Unless you were looking at it, you would not notice it. The shape looked like a triangle and got more prominent as it came closer to me. It moved very fast, smooth and silent through the sky. I saw it for maybe five seconds. It was as wide as the block that I live on! It was huge.”
February 25, 2012, 7:30 p.m., Romeoville, Will County, IL. Case 36088. “It was a cold winter night and I was bringing in some groceries from the car,” the witness stated. “While I was inside my house putting down some of the groceries, my dad yelled out, ‘Come out here now! There’s something weird out here!’ So my mom and I went outside and saw three orb-like things in a triangular shape and then while they were moving they changed to a single file line. The color was red-orange and yellow-orange. After about two or three minutes they started disappearing one by one. My mom took a picture of the triangular form.”
February 27, 2012, 6:27 p.m., Hazelwood, St. Louis County, MO. Case 36201. “I looked up and there was a wobbly thing hovering,” the witness stated. “It was dark and had three white lights that faded in and out. The lights started pulsing faster as it picked up speed, flashed randomly and darted like lightning, but stayed in view and began hovering again. We drove home and I immediately grabbed my phone to record. I ran towards the area (which was right behind my house) and it was gone.”
February 28, 2012, 6:30 p.m., El Paso, El Paso County, TX. Case 36166. “As I approached the craft on 62/180, it was close enough to the road for me to open my sun roof cover, not the window, to look at the object from underneath,” the witness stated. “It did not fly right over the road, but close enough to see ‘under’ it displaying three lights at three points, revealing a triangle shape. Also visible was the flashing light as described above. Reaction, ‘this is not a helicopter, and it is moving SLOW.’ Not slow enough to track with a car (because believe me, I tried after pulling over, waiting for a car to pass and turning around), but slow enough that, without witnessing jets with flames shooting out the back or anything of the sort propelling the craft – or causing it to hover (like helicopter blades), that this thing was different. It was powerful (to be kept aloft like that) and it was, to at least this layman, unidentified, for sure.”
