Celebrity health and fitness news! Ashton Kutcher’s new girlfriend is taking more heat from Star magazine for gaining weight than even Demi Moore has for being anorexic. On Dec. 26, 2012 Gossip Cop denied the news that Mila Kunis has gotten fat, a claim made by the grocery store tabloid. The actress was recently voted “Sexiest Woman Alive” by Esquire magazine — making it hard to believe that she’s a gainer despite the news reports she’s packed on an additional 50 pounds of pure fat in recent months and weeks.
The website devoted to rumor mill report busting shared the following background information on their piece. Gossip Cop says:
“When Ashton Kutcher started dating Mila Kunis, he thought he hit the jackpot,” begins a piece in Star, “but as the couple’s relationship has grown, so has Mila — to the tune of nearly 50 lbs.”
According to the tabloid, “Ashton’s feeling uneasy about his girlfriend’s transformation.”
The magazine then quotes a so-called “source” as saying, “When they started dating, [Kutcher] thought Mila was one of the hottest girls in the world, but in the eight months or so since they’ve been together, she’s totally let herself go.”
“So called” is the operative phrase in the statement. As the champion of celebrities points out, the claim Star made is rubbish.
Kunis has not gained anywhere near 50 pounds since she started dating Ashton Kutcher. In fact, she’s hardly showing signs that she’s even gained the customary freshman fifteen any young girl gains when she goes away from home to college or that women gain when they get comfortable in a new relationship.
As such, Gossip Cop’s report that the Star was really way out of line making their claims against the “Black Swan” star (a woman who had dropped to the dangerously low weight of 95 pounds for her 5’4″ height and frame to play the ballerina role) seems right on target. In fact, the scandalous news report borders on straight libel — mainly because it is so unsubstantiated and just sounds downright mean.
Will Mila Kunis take the Tom Cruise high road and sure the tabloid for printing such a ridiculous story? Not likely.
While Cruise has formally filed a $50M lawsuit against several tabloids for saying he is a bad father who abandoned his daughter Suri. Kunis is not likely to have negative repercussions in her personal or professional like from the gossip magazine’s rude claims. After all, while there is a chance that the actor can prove monetary damages to his career, one look at sexy Mila and everyone who sees her knows the writers over at Star are simply insane.
But for purely satirical content, the Onion should consider writing their own celebrity news story about the celebrity couple. After all, news that Ashton Kutcher is a feeder who split from his emaciated wife Demi Moore because she refused to eat could actually be pretty hilarious to read.
