Christmas is usually a wonderful holiday for people to celebrate because of the wonderful times of sharing love and presents with friends and family before having a great family dinner.
As people go Christian Christmas worship services they can have wonderful experiences as they sing joyful Christmas songs and hear the minister read the Scripture passages about what happened on the original Christmas Day.
The wonderful part of the Christmas story is how God sent His son, Jesus Christ, to come to earth and be born as a man so that He could complete God’s plan for the spiritual redemption of mankind.
That plan was needed the original people created by God (Adam and Eve) and most of mankind since then have rebelled against keeping God’s laws and principles of living found in the Bible and have suffered the punishment of being under a spiritual death sentence because of their rebellion.
Although those things caused a great separation between our Creator God and His creations, yet God still longed to have a close relationship with mankind and so God’s great love for them caused God to create a plan that would eventually restore the close relationship that God wanted with mankind. That plan involved God sending His Son, Jesus Christ, to come to earth, be born as a man, grow up and live a perfect life without breaking any of God’s laws, and then be able to take the punishment of death that everyone who broke God’s laws deserved through His sacrificial death on the cross.
Because Jesus completed God’s redemptive plan, when people ask God to forgive them for breaking God’s laws and then ask Jesus Christ to become their personal Savior and spiritually apply His sacrificial death on the cross to their lives; then God forgives them for breaking His laws, makes them His newly restored creation and a member of God’s spiritual kingdom of light, and sends the power of the Holy Spirit to live inside of them to give them the ability to live by God’s principles of living.
As people daily study God’s Word to learn those principles and talk to God in prayer about their problems, they can develop a close relationship with God that will help them get through their journey of life. Being able to have that close relationship with God is what God’s redemptive plan is all about and that is why Jesus came to earth on the original Christmas Day and that is also why Christmas is such a wonderful celebration for Christians.
However, in spite of all the wonderful experiences of Christmas, sometimes people have a hard time celebrating Christmas because their joy has been stolen from them because of the tragic events that happened to them. Those people need an extra special amount of love to come to them from the Holy Spirit and from their family and friends so they can make it through the tough challenges they face in the coming days, months, and years.
Therefore, I am asking all my readers to pray that God will send an enormous amount of His love to surround and help those people who are hurting inside because of the tragic events that happened to them.
