West Virginia offers a variety of holiday events throughout the state. From craft fairs to historic light-shows, there is a full slate of holiday fun. Listed below are just a few of the activities scheduled around the state.
November 9-January 6—Oglebay Christmas Festival of Lights, Wheeling, WV. One of the largest light displays in the United States. Covers 300 acres over a six-mile drive through.
November 17-December 31—Christmas in Parkersburg, Christmas light display.

November 30-December 2—Lions Club Tri-State Arts and Crafts Festival, Big Sandy Superstore Arena, Huntington, WV. Contact the arena for information and times.
December 1–East End Bazaar Christmas Bazaar, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Unique and handcrafted items.
December 1–Hurricane Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting, Main Street, Hurricane, WV. 4:30 p.m.

December 2—Old Time Christmas Celebration, 1 p.m.-3 p.m., Putnam County Park, Eleanor, WV. Wagon rides and free refreshments.
December 7-17—WV Farm Museum Holiday Light Festival. From 6 p.m.-9 p.m. Walk or drive through. Cookies and cocoa available.
December 8 and 9—Huntington Dance Theatre 31st annual presentation of The Nutcracker, featuring guest artist Donald Laney. For ticket information contact 304-522-4230. Tickets are also available at the door. $20 for adults, $15 for students, seniors, and children under 12.
December 8—South Charleston Christmas Parade, 12 p.m. at Oakes Field.
December 8—Annual Reindog Parade, 10 a.m.-12 p.m, Valley Park Community Center, Hurricane, WV. Proceeds to benefit the Putnam county Animal Shelter. For information call 304-562-0518, ext. 10.
