In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, the NYC dance community is rallying together to support those affected by the disaster. The renowned Broadway Dance Center (BDC) has a DANCE-AID program set up next week inviting dancers to gather together, do what they love most, while doing some good and supporting victims of the hurricane.
Starting on Monday, November 12 through Friday November 16, select evening classes will be held with all proceeds from students and dancers participating ($15/class) donated to the American Red Cross Hurricane Sandy relief. In addition, donations in any amount will be accepted at BDC’s front desk and given to the American Red Cross. Now through November 15 the dance center is also hosting a clothing drive for the hurricane victims, seeking new or gently used warm clothing.
The DANCE-AID class schedule is made up of various evening classes next week from 10:30PM-midnight (unless otherwise noted) including the following:

Some additional BDC teacher’s have already participated by teaching for free and donating their class proceeds to this cause (shout outs to Sheryl Murakami and Kevin Maher).
There has never been a better time for those of us lucky enough to be safe and sound with transportation back up and running, to make the time to take a dance class for the benefit of others. Go dance!
