At Catamount, you will find you are skiing in 2 states. These include South Egremont, and Hillsdale. While you are also skiing in and out of Massachusetts and New York consider a meal at one of the best Swiss restaurants around, the Swiss Hutte! This is one of the southern-most ski areas with an easy ride from New York, New Jersey and Connecticut of 2.5 to 3 hours depending upon your route.
Berkshire East is off on Route 2 almost into Pioneer Valley. It is a beautiful setting with the Deerfield River alongside it that draws folks winter, spring, summer and fall for outdoor activities. This is a mountain that is for all seasons.
