Actress Ashley Greene wowed the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of Breaking Dawn Part 2. The 5-foot-5 Greene wore a body-hugging Donna Karan evening gown that accentuated her toned arms and slender waist.
To maintain her stunning physique, the athletic Ashley works out five to six days a week doing Pilates, cardio, yoga, martial arts and strength-training, Celebrity Health Fitness reported.
Greene’s favorite exercise is a fat-blasting cardio workout on the VersaClimber. “It’s an insane full-body workout that gets your cardiovascular levels very high very quickly,” said Ashley. “It really pushes you, but it’s so fun that it’s addictive.”
Unlike some young Hollywood stars, Greene won’t get drunk or act out in public because she doesn’t want to set a bad example for her young fans.
I keep to the ground rules: I’m not going to get drunk at a bar. There are younger girls who look up to me. So I do my best not to stray too far.”
Ashley added: “I definitely try to be a positive role model. Right now my fans seem to be growing with me. I want my fans to know that Twilight has given me an incredible opportunity.”
Ashley, who has gotten fitter and leaner during the past year, is a fashionista who lives by a simple but effective fitness motto: “Eat well, exercise, and work with what ya got!”
During the past few months, Ashley has lost a noticeable amount of weight, bolstering her bankability as a leading lady and a fashion plate.
“I realized if I really wanted to start booking jobs, there was no half-a**ing it,” Greene said. “I had to devote everything to it and so I did. Directors liked me but didn’t think I could be the lead in a movie because they had no idea who I was, so they’d put me in smaller roles.
Despite the intense pressure to be super-skinny in Hollywood, Greene makes fitness–not thinness–her top priority. “I’m not a size zero either!” Ashley tweeted in January 2011. “Those are not standards to live by!
Ashley insists she doesn’t diet, but eats healthy foods in small portions. “Women should be healthy and enjoy life!” she said. “And if you are a size zero, it should be because you’re naturally that way not because of deprivation and starvation.”
I don’t do the diet thing anymore. I’m a big believer in feeding your body what it needs. Deny yourself something and you’re going to end up shoving your face full of it.
I don’t want a child’s body. I want a woman’s body that is extremely fit. It’s so much sexier.”
Greene said her diet typically consists of chicken, some fish, nuts and vegetables. For snacks, she loves dark chocolate and coconut water.
“When I want something sweet, I love Zico Chocolate Coconut Water,” said Ashley. “It’s an awesome substitute to quench your thirst and sweet tooth without being really bad for you.”
Greene added: “I also always have dark chocolate. My vices are usually salty though. I always have pickles in my refrigerator. And Cheez-Its are very rarely in my house because I know I’ll eat the entire box!”
