Well, that was a rather bloody episode on last night’s “American Horror Story: Asylum,” wasn’t it? While “Dark Cousins” was heavy on the gore (we’re still cringing at the what Kit did to one of the raspers, as well as what it did to one of the nuns), it still provided the audience with a few answers to some burning questions. However, it also raised a few of its own. Here is a rundown of some of the more prominent headscratchers we got from “Dark Cousins.”

Sister Eunice wants to run Briarcliff, but why?
It’s obvious now that Sister Eunice wants to have Briarcliff all to newly possessed self, but why is that? Don’t get us wrong, we love the way she showed Dr. Arden who is boss, but why would the devil want to run a mental institution? She obviously wants it bad enough if he gave Sister Jude a razor to kill herself, that way should would never return to Briarcliff. Also, could this still somehow involve Kit, who she saved from sterilization? So many questions, hopefully they get addressed soon.
Could Lana be pregnant with the future Bloody Face?
When we first see Lana in this episode, she is being raped by Dr. Thredson. We know that it would probably be impossible for it to be Zachary Quinto in the future, but perhaps there is an unholy product now forming inside of Lana? Speaking of Lana, how much disaster can one person take? It was great to see her escape, however once she got in the car and eventually ended up at Briarcliff, even we were exhausted from all that misfortune.
What does the Dark Angel really want?
Last night featured guest star Francis Conroy (last season’s Moira) as the Dark Angel who was summoned by people who were ready to die. She also seemed to shake up Sister Eunice, especially after she realized that Eunice was inhabited by one of her fallen cousins. She mentioned they would meet again, but for what? Does she have a plan to fight against Eunice, or does she want to join her?
Is Grace really gone?
Grace escaped death early on in the episode when a couple of nuns (when did Briarcliff get so populated with them) brought her back to life. At this point, she is the only one believes Kit, and it seemed like she was really poised to help him. But when she literally takes a bullet for him at the end of the episode, the Dark Angel shows up and appears to have taken her. Could this be the end?
