While I was in my study one evening last week listening to K-LOVE (one of my favorite radio stations), something I heard one of the speakers say caused me to stop what I was doing and ponder his words. This gentleman (I don’t know his name) said “addiction is misdirected worship.” Wow. Think about that for a minute, my brothers and sisters. Let it marinate for a moment.
Almost immediately, the Lord brought me to Hebrews 13:5. This is a verse, that for the longest time, I had a lingering question concerning why God chose to include something next to something else. I believe that God was now giving me an answer! I often wondered why the Father would choose to put instructions for our conduct, the mandate to be content in all things, and His assurance that He would never leave us nor forsake us, all in the same verse and in this order.
