November is Adopt a Senior Pet Month and Homeward Pet is happy to focus on their senior animals.
Homeward Pet is a nonprofit, no-kill animal shelter serving the Seattle area. It is their mission to give homeless animals a second chance through rescue, shelter, and adoption programs. Homeward Pet has been rescuing and adopting pets for 22 years.
Every year, Homeward helps more than 1,300 cats and dogs find their forever families. This week, Homeward Pet would like you to know about two very special seniors: Sammi and Dennis.
Last week, we featured Millie, who went to her forever family over the weekend. Congratulations, Millie!
Thirteen-year-old Sammi is a Jack Russell mix who was recently transferred to Homeward Pet. This sweet senior was surrendered to her owner because they were no longer able to care for her. Tipping the scales at 17 pounds, Sammi is all heart, and this darling hopes to find her own special someone to care for her during her golden years.
Despite her age, Sammi is an energetic gal who loves to go on daily walks. Sammi also greatly enjoys car rides and taking trips to the dog park. In addition to being compatible with other dogs, Sammi has also successfully lived with a cat.
Sammi has so many wonderful qualities and she can’t wait to show you how special she is. If she sounds like she’d be a good fit for you, please visit Homeward Pet!
If you’ve been searching for your kitty soul mate, then look no further than Dennis. This eight-year-old medium-haired boy will make a lovely addition to most households.
Dennis was originally found as a stray in the Everett area and he was then taken to a local shelter. When no one claimed Dennis as their own, Homeward Pet gave this beautiful boy a second chance at life and at love.
This charming, irresistible boy would love to join a family that can provide him with regular brushing to ensure that his beautiful coat doesn’t get matted. Dennis has been around other cats and has done well, but he doesn’t have a history with dogs.
Dashing Dennis would love to meet you. If you think that Dennis is the cat for you, visit Homeward Pet to meet him in person!
