A thousand years ago one of history’s most unimaginable events happened.
In the twelfth century one man struck fear into the hearts of China, Genghis Kahn. Defeating foe upon foe, his exploits would become legendary.
It was his grandson, Kublai Kahn who would attempt what his grandfather didn’t do, conquer Japan. Though an ocean stood between him and his goal, Kublai Kahn was determined to reach the Japanese nation and subdue the people.
He forced laborers to construct 4,400 ships, more would be in his fleet than in the Allied invasion of World War II. The ships were constructed in a year.
The Japanese were terrified of the coming invasion. Even the noted Samurai were afraid and did not know what to do, so for twelve long months the people waited.
Finally with his entire fleet of over four thousand ships and 100,000 warriors, Kahn launched his attack.
From the shoreline the Japanese leaders watched the horizon and soon saw the silhouettes of a massive fleet heading in their direction.
Struck with horror, the people began to pray for deliverance. Miraculously a storm rose up in the ocean destroying every vessel and drowning all 100,000 soldiers in Kahn’s army. Defeated, he never again attempted to take Japan. You can learn about ships at Cleveland’s Mid-America Boat Show.
It is a well-known teaching that faith can move mountains. Don’t give voice to your fears, don’t affirm your limitations, instead believe for the extraordinary, give voice to the belief that you are destined for greatness and deserve your dreams to come true. Affirm only that which you wish to receive and trust that as you move forward everything will work out for you as planned.
Here is a powerful technique people have used for a long time to deal with negative thoughts that show up. When a thought comes to mind that you can’t seem to stop and it keeps repeating, such as a thought about how someone wronged you, to put an end to the rapid onslaught of similar thoughts speak aloud, “Cancel!” Then say it again, then say it again, and again until the thought stops appearing.
Your mind is very much like a computer. It will follow the directions you give it. You must take control of your thoughts and your words so they don’t take control of you. Believe for the impossible, speak the impossible, say aloud your deepest dreams as if they have already happened. Then have the faith to watch them come to fruition. Cancel the negative thoughts, and commit to speak only that which you wish to receive.
