When to arrive at Rockefeller Center
Each year the Christmas tree lighting celebration at Rockefeller Center becomes more and more popular, and, much like Times Square on New Year’s Eve, people begin arriving earlier and earlier each year to claim their spot. People begin arriving at Rockefeller Center as early as noon time with the majority of the crowd arriving between 4PM and 6PM.
It is important to keep in mind that NYPD will begin closing streets as crowds begin to form, and, therefore, arriving early does work to your advantage.
